Olive Garden Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ cups warm water about 100F-110F (not boiling)
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast or 1 packet
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 & 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoon salt

For the garlic butter

  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Mix warm water, yeast, and sugar in your stand mixer bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  • Add in the flour, olive oil, and salt and turn on the mixer on low speed with the kneading attachment on. Allow it to knead the dough until a soft dough comes together.
    4 & 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 teaspoon salt
  • Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  • Punch the dough down then divide the dough into 16 pieces, roll each into 7-inch sticks, and place them on a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Cover and let the breadsticks rise for another 30 minutes.
  • Bake at 400°F for 12-14 minutes until golden.

Garlic butter:

  • Mix melted butter with garlic powder and salt while the breadsticks are in the oven. Brush onto the hot breadsticks right after they come out of the oven.
    2 tablespoons butter, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Serve warm and enjoy!
