18 oz white mushrooms cleaned and sliced (not too thick not too thin) 2 tablespoons unsalted butter 1 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 3 cloves garlic minced 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon salt Start with less and adjust to taste 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and olive oil.

Once the butter has melted, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté the mushrooms on the hot pan for a few minutes without stirring. Stir once the mushrooms start to brown about 4 minutes in. Allow the mushrooms to cook for a few minutes longer.

Add the minced garlic, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to the mushrooms, stir, and continue to sauté for another 2-3 minutes, or until the garlic becomes fragrant.

Season the mushrooms with salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preferences.
