Instructions
In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, and sauté until soft and fragrant.
3 tbsp olive oil, 1 medium white onion, 6 cloves garlic
Add crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, sugar, salt, and pepper. Lower heat and let it simmer for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust the seasonings to your likings.
2 -28 oz canned crushed tomatoes, 2 tsp dried basil, 1/2 tsp dried oregano, 1/4 tsp red chili flakes, 1 tbsp white sugar, Salt and pepper to taste
Serve with pasta, meatballs, or even as a dip for your breadsticks.
