Ingredients
 
 

  • 6 medium apples Granny Smith apples are best, peeled, cored, and cut into 1/2 inch wedges. About 2 lbs
  • 1/4 cup butter salted or unsalted
  • 1 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • a pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core, and slice the apples.

  • In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the apple slices to the skillet and stir to coat them with butter.

  • Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples start to soften.
  • Top with the lemon juice, sprinkle the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg over the apples.
