Copycat Benihana Fried Rice Recipe

This Copycat Benihana Fried Rice recipe brings all the flavors of the popular restaurant favorite right into your own kitchen.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups cold cooked day old white rice
  • 3 tbsp garlic butter see notes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 medium carrot peeled and chopped into very small pieces
  • 1/4 medium onion chopped finely
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Heat garlic butter in pan. Add the carrots, onions, and garlic and sauté a few minutes.
    3 tbsp garlic butter, 2 cloves garlic minced, 1/4 medium carrot peeled, 1/4 medium onion
  • Add rice and break up with a spatula. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
    2 cups cold cooked day old white rice
  • Push rice aside, crack egg in, scramble, then mix with rice.

  • Add soy sauce and green onions. Stir to combine and serve!
    2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 green onions sliced

Notes

Garlic Butter (Small Batch)
Ingredients:
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
• 1 clove garlic, finely minced or grated
• A few drops of soy sauce (optional)
• Small pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. In a small bowl, mash together the butter, garlic, soy sauce (if using), and salt until smooth.
2. Use immediately, or store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
