Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup pickle juice for marinating
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 4 tbsp bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Place chicken pieces in pickle juice and let marinate for 30 minutes to an hour. The longer the better, you can even marinate it overnight.

  • In a bowl, mix milk and egg. In another bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, bread crumbs, garlic powder, baking powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Drain the pickle juice from the chicken then add it into the milk and egg mixture and mix to combine.
  • Using a fork or a slotted spatula, transfer the chicken into the flour mixture and gently mix to coat. Discard the leftover milk and egg mixture.
  • Heat oil to 350°F and fry chicken in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch. Transfer the chicken to a paper towel lined plate and continue cooking your chicken.
    Oil for frying
  • Serve immediately, and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
